Goals

Colorado’s Multi-Sector Plan on Aging outlines the following five strategic goals to guide priorities over the next 10 years. These goals are accompanied by targeted strategies and initiatives designed to mobilize resources, drive policy changes and measure our progress.
Goal 1: Create Connected Communities that Support All Coloradans
The purpose of this goal is to ensure communities throughout Colorado are affordable, livable and interconnected by implementing age-friendly policies and practices that support all community members.
Goal 2: Build a Colorado that Supports the Healthcare Needs of All Older Coloradans
The purpose of this goal is to promote a healthcare system that is responsive, equitable and tailored to the unique needs of Coloradans across their lifespan while supporting health outcomes for older adults.
Goal 3: Create a Person-Centered Delivery Model for Long-Term Services and Supports
The purpose of this goal is to prioritize high-quality, sustainable and meaningful long-term services and supports to help older Coloradans age in place.
Goal 4: Understand the Economic Impact of Colorado's Aging Population
The purpose of this goal is to acknowledge our demographic reality and its impact on the workforce while promoting the value and expertise of older Coloradans to engage older Coloradans in the workforce.
Goal 5: Prioritize the Economic Security of Older Coloradans
The purpose of this goal is to enhance economic security for older adults by focusing on: economic opportunities; access to benefits; financial literacy; retirement savings; and prioritizing food security.
